1. Getting started

How do I shoot? Press a cap of your colour, drag away from where you want to go, and release. The further you drag, the harder it flies (the ring and arrow turn from green to red). Everything must stop before the next turn begins.

The match won’t let me shoot. Either it is not your turn (watch the “Your turn” pill), something is still moving, or in Free Play the cap is resting during a cooldown. In Chain and Bonus Shot you can only take the extra flick inside its short window.

Where are my rules? Home → Custom, or the Friend / World Cup rules screens. The quick buttons on the home screen always use standard rules (5v5, 3 minutes, first to 3, 12-second turns).

2. Playing online

Create or join. Friend → Create room, pick the rules, share the 6-character code. Your friend uses Join with code. Codes are not case-sensitive and never contain 0, O, 1, I or L.

“No such room” or “room full”. Check the code, that the room was created less than 10 minutes ago, and that nobody has joined it yet.

Connection lost. The match pauses for up to 45 seconds and your phone reconnects by itself. If both players lose connection or one does not return, the room closes and you can make a new one.

Laggy or rubber-banding. Real-time styles (Free Play, Chain, Bonus) hide lag by replaying late flicks, but a poor connection will still show small jumps. Try Wi-Fi closer to the router, or switch to a turn-based style.

3. Same Wi-Fi play

  • Both phones need the CapSoccer Same Wi-Fi screen open (or “Visible on Wi-Fi” on in Settings), on the same network.
  • On iPhone, allow Local Network access when asked. If you said no: Settings → CapSoccer → Local Network.
  • Guest Wi-Fi, hotel, school and public networks often hide devices from each other. A phone hotspot always works.
  • iOS only lets an app announce itself while it is open, so keep CapSoccer in front on both phones.

4. Trick Shots and the community

Why can’t I publish my level? You need to beat it yourself first. Use the BEAT IT button (three tries, one flick each) and it publishes automatically. Levels with a red problem ring cannot be played or published; the first problem is written under the pitch.

Can I edit a published level? No: votes belong to the level people voted on. Make a copy instead (the Edit button becomes Copy).

Why can’t I vote? You must play a community level first, and you can’t vote on your own.

I reinstalled and lost my levels. Your install ID lives on your phone, so a reinstall starts fresh and you can no longer delete the old levels yourself. Email us your player name and level names and we will help.

To report a level, see the community guidelines.

5. Performance and battery

CapSoccer aims for a smooth 60 frames a second. On slower graphics chips it automatically switches to a lighter look (fewer glow effects in goal celebrations, a flat tint instead of blur on pause screens). If something still stutters, close other apps, turn off the Crowd sound in the pause menu, and email us your phone model.

6. Progress and devices

Progress is stored on your device only; there is no cloud save yet. It stays across app updates, but it is lost if you uninstall the app or change phones.

7. Requirements

  • iPhone / iPad: iOS 15 or later.
  • Android: phones and tablets on a recent Android version.
  • Internet is only needed for online friend matches and the community list. Everything else works offline.
